I cant afford insurance

If you cannot afford health insurance for you and your family you need to figure out what other options are available to you. Do you qualify for Medicaid, or some other kind of Federal or State Assistance?

The first thing you need to do when you realize you can’t afford health insurance is to see if you qualify for any state or federal programs that may provide you free medical care and free health insurance. Your first place to look would be your state Medicaid programs. Each of these programs has a requirement sets thresholds as to the level of income you must be making less than in order to qualify for the program. If you are over a certain age you may qualify for Medicare which a Federal program offered by the United States. If your income is below a certain amount, you may not qualify for a free medical program on the state or federal level, but your children might. Each state has their own children’s health insurance program where the state provides free health insurance to needy children. As a last resort, you may be able to find assistance through local charities or religious organizations. Many Americans have made it a priority to look for a job at an employer who provides and pays for health insurance coverage.
